The Inaugural function of APTI sponsored Two-day National Conference on “Current Scenario and Challenges in Industrial-Academia interaction in Pharmaceutical Sector” was held on 11 November 2016 in Jan Nayak Ch. Devi Lal Memorial College of Pharmacy, Sirsa. This two-day program was organized to acquaint the students, research scholars and faculty members of various pharmacy institutes in India about the challenges in a different sector of the pharmacy profession. About 1000 participants from different states of India have participated in this conference.
The Programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. Saranjeet Singh from NIPER, Mohali. Amongst the dignitaries present on occasion were Dr. R. R. Malik, Director Academics, JCDV, Sh. Akash Chawla, Management Coordinator. Sh. Sudhanshu Gupta, Registrar, JCDV and Principals of constituent colleges of JCD Vidyapeeth. Prof .Saranjeet in his speech shared his experiences and appreciated the research facilities available at the college and mentioned that JCDM College of Pharmacy is having one of the best infrastructure and facilities amongst all Pharmacy Colleges of India. He also appealed to youth to follow path enlightened by Ch. Devi Lal ji and give their best for the country. Sh.S. K. Gehlawat was the guest of honor. He emphasized on the importance of becoming a good human being along with a good professional. Prof. Saranjeet Singh from NIPER, Mohali was the keynote speaker. Dr. Rajkumar from Central University Bathinda discussed about the approaches and the recent treatment available for deadly disease cancer. Dr. Dhirender Kaushik, Vice-President APTI was also present on this occasion.

Prof. Lather briefed the audience on the significance of this two day seminar and discussed about the importance of these types of programs for the improvisation of knowledge and technical skills of the students and faculty members. He presented the progress report of the college & informed that the college has achieved tremendous achievements in last few years which include the grant of Rupees Ninety lacs aprox. from various funding agencies. Prof. Lather & Prof. Deepti Pandita felicitated the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor for their esteemed presence on the inaugural function.
A cultural eve will be organized in the evening in which student will showcase some splendid performances.
